Program Outcomes (POs)

The students of Diploma program in Mechanical Engineering will have

PO 1: Critical Thinking Ability to identify, critically analyze, formulate and solve complex engineering problems.

PO 2: Problem Solving Use research based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions in mechanical engineering.

PO 3: Social and Environmental Sustainability An ability to design, operate, control and maintain a mechanical system and process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as health, safety, legal, cultural, environmental and security issues related to manufacturability.

PO 4: Ethics Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the mechanical engineering practice.

PO 5: Communication Communicate effectively through written and oral mediums; make effective presentations and exchanges clear instructions.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

The Program Educational Objectives of the Mechanical Engineering Diploma program are achieve the following, within few years of Diploma.

PEO-1: Establish their careers in the field of mechanical Engineering and related areas, providing innovative and effective solutions.

PEO-2: Establish themselves as entrepreneur, work in research and development organization and pursue higher education.

PEO-3: Involve in continuous learning through state-of-the-art technologies for solving societal problems using logical and flexible approaches in decision-making.

Program Specific Outcome (PSO) PSOs

PSO-1: Ability to utilize logical and technical skills to model, simulate and analyse mechanical  components and systems.

PSO-2: Empowering to provide socially acceptable technical solutions to real time mechanical engineering problems with the application of modern and appropriate techniques for sustainable development.

PSO 3: Capability to present the acquired knowledge coherently both in oral and written discourse.
